The story begins with Jagadish (Vijay) who is a captain in the indian army, visiting his home town Mumabi from Kashmir for his summer vacation. As soon as he arrives, his family forced him to get married. Hence he end up in seeing Nisha (Kajal Aggarwal) in the bride-viewing ceremony. Jagadish is commenting on her as very old-fashioned and does not to marry her. But the contrary is true that Nisha is a college-level boxer and she is completely modern in outlook. Once Jagadish realizes this and fall in love with her. But now Nisha is opposing him to get married.
Once Jagadish was hanging out with his police-officer friend Balaji (Sathyan), they see the explosion of a bus in which they had travelled. Jagadish captures the man who planted the bomb in that bus and he finds out he is a sleeper cell who is not aware of anything about the terrorist group except they have plans to similar attacks in various places in the city in a couple of days. With help of his fellow army men, Jagadish collapses their plan and saves the people from the attack.
The leader of the terrorist group (Vidyut Jamwal) finds out the reason failure of the terrorist attack and about Jagadish. He begh ins to target the families of the Army men, kidnapping someone close to them. Jagdish creating a plan and he substitutes one of the people to be kidnapped with his younger sister. Using his pet dog and his sister's dupatta, he manages to reach the terrorists' hideout, rescuing his sister and the others.
With this attack too failed, the terrorist leader decides to target Jagdish himself. He asks Jagdish to surrender to him, failing which there would be more terrorist attacks. Jagdish decides to sacrifice his life and creats a plan with his fellow Army men. But the terrorist leader creates another plan by exposing the Jagdish's Army team as terrorists.
Once Jagdish meets the terrorist leader in a ship and realizes everything, he fights the leader and escapes with him in a boat. Once the ship explodes, he kills the leader. The movie ends with Jagdish returning to Kashmir after the vacation.
The comedy mix with Vijay and Sathyan combination is good. Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal performance is excellent. Kajal did not get enough chance after the interval. It is a very good action and entertainment movie! Thuppaki Kalakkal.
