Windows 8 launched on Thursday Oct 25, 2012 in New York City and the sales begun at 12:01 PM local time across the globe. Micrsoft Surface had a warm welcome across the consumers in the world. But one thing is sure that Apple will start slowing down in the coming quarters since it has got a very strong competitor now and its time of monopoly is over.
Microsoft sold about 670 million Licenses of Windows 7.
