Dec 31, 2012 - Stock market is showing up bullish sign based on technicals and it is likely go up with the expectation of a sharp correction along the way. Since the Gold, Silver and other commodities went up sharply in the recent years, it is unlikely to move up a lot in this year.

The best safe heaven in 2013 is keeping your money as US$ itself. Even though the bank interest rate is very low, it is likely to go up. Fed has already kept interest rate near zero for the last 4 years, Fed can not continue with this option. Another round of QE is also unlikely since reducing the goverment debt is main focus by increasing the rax rate.

Another option is to short the US long term treasuries in the long term that is about 6 - 12 months terms.
