Jilla is tamil masala action movie released in Jan 2014. This movie is written and directed by R.T. Neason and Produced by R.B Choudary. The main actors are Mohanlal, Vijay, Kajal Aggarwal.
Sivan (Mohanlal) becomes a don in Madurai. When he take his pregnant wife to hospital, his driver got killed so that he adots the driver's son Shakthi. Shakthi do not like the Khaki shirt since he witnessed fis father being killed by a police officer. When Shakthi becomes a young man (Vijay), he falls for Shanthi (Kajal Aggarwal) but he rejects her because she is a police officer.
The movie moves with comedy and romance until the new police commissioner (Pradeep Rawat) takes charge. He arrests Sivan for a couple of hours and warned him to stop the illegal activities. This situation makes Sivan to get angry and sivan decided to make Shakthi as police officer. When Shakthi became police officer unwillingly, Sivan and his gang performs criminal activities. But the amount of mass destruction changes Shakthi's mind and he conducts Operation clean to arrest all criminals in the Madurai Zone and Shakthi decided to stop Sivan in commiting any illegal activities.
Sivan and Shakthi starts their cold war. Aadhi (Sampath Raj) who is also adopted by Shakthi, enters now to take revenge against Sivan and family. Now the movie kicks off with full of action and ends with a good note.
Mohanlal and Vijay performed well on their role. However Kajal did not get enough opportunity. Soori gets Kudos for his comedy role. The songs are a great plus point and Music Director D.Inman did a great Job. Action is very good but it is too much. Romance is very less. Some action tradeoff with romance might have given perfect combination. Overall it is a very good and great movie Mohanlal's and Vijay's fans.
