The comedy kind Vadivelu has a greater come back through the movie Tenaliraman. He plays the two roles in this movie. One as a king (Maamannar) and another as ordinary man Thenaliraman who became a minister.
Maamannar (Vadivelu) is the king of Vikata Nagaram, which is in trouble because of ministers planning a conspiracy against the king. The king has 36 wives and 52 children. His Nine ministers are Navarathnams (nine jewels) of his court. There is a sincere minister but gets killed. The ramining 8 ministers want to have deal with Chinese trader, that becomes the root cause of all the issues faced by the kingdom.
Thenaliraman (Vadivelu), who is sent to kill the king. He understands the situation and he wins the trust of the king. Through his intelligence he makes the king to see the secret plans against him. In the meantime, Thenaliraman falls in love with Maamannar's daughter (Meenakshi Dixit).
How Thealiraman protects the kingdom and what happend to the corrupted the ministers in the kingdom must be watched on movie theatres. This is movie a greater come back for Vadivelu and he dominates the entire screen. Mano Bala also gets good credits on the comedy part. The Mamannar role played by Vadivelu gets more attention compared to Tenaliraman. It is a very good comedy movie to watch with family and kids.
